Who we are
The Young Guns Skate School was founded by Pro Skateboarder Simon Thorp in 2010. Along with a team of top New Zealand skateboarders, we provide professional skateboarding tuition and opportunities to the growing number of young people interested in skateboarding.
The benefits of our classes include confidence and self esteem building, improved balance, coordination and improved behaviour in and out of school. On top of that kids learn how to have fun on a skateboard. Since 2010 we have run over 5000 classes with over 90,000 Young Guns in attendance.

Fantastic 9th birthday party at Victoria Park for my son! He talked about it for weeks before hand and will no doubt talk about it for weeks after. All his mates who had never been on a skateboard left asking their folks for skateboards and raving about it. Cheers Simon!

Skating is an amazing way to learn persistence, risk management, coordination, self esteem, goal setting, character building and personal development, fear-facing , list goes on. The team at Young Guns are supportive, skilled, the tutors are uplifting, and they take a relaxed approach that caters to all ability levels. My daughter loves learning to skate with Young Guns.
